7 games scheduled for NSJHL this weekend....points needed by all teams

It is Halloween Night across Nova Scotia but there is still one game scheduled in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.  It is slated for 7:30 at the John Paris Jr. Rink in Windsor between the 3-4-2 Windsor Oxen and the 2-7-0 Brookfield Elks.  Both teams fully recognize that as they approach the 1/3 mark in their schedule tonight, points are a virtual necessity in order t climb in the Fred Fox Division Standings where East Hants leads with a 9-1-1 record and the South Shore Lumberjacks at 9-0-0, single point behind the Pens with two games in hand.

Saturday night in Cape Breton, the Elks will continue a busy weekend road trip as they play the Jr. Miners in the Membertou Rink.  The Jr. Miners are currently 1-10-0.  One other game Saturday in Bridgewater will feature the Capstone Colts and South Shore Lumberjacks in a 7:00 p.m. start.  The Colts are presently stand at 6-3-0.

Sunday Nov 2nd gets a little busier as the Penguins travel to Eskasoni to play the first place Jr. Eagles (8-3-0) at 2:00 p.m. at the Dan K. Stevens Memorial Arena.  Other games see the Lumberjacks in Pictou Sunday night and arch-rivals the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates travelling to Antigonish.
